So I’ve made attempts to participate in Nanowrimo on and off for a number of years, and I never quite make it. By “never quite make it” I mean I usually write no more than 5,000 words spread out over 30 days. I know there are people who throw themselves in with great excitement and use it as an opportunity to get their writing ya-yas out. However, I personally have never had success with it, because I am a lazy, procrastinating motherfucker.

That aside, I’m going to try again this year, because this is my year of trying things. To those of you who are also participating, good luck, and I hope you’re better at it than I am.
